ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus has started slowing down as few days ago going to the highest levels in positivity rate now it is going towards lowest ebb with every passing day.
Pakistan has reported 2,799 positive cases and 37 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus.
According to the latest figures appeared on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 2,799 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 while 37 new deaths were reported across the country in the past 24 hours.
With 2,799 new cases confirmed by the NCOC on Tuesday morning the nation-wide number of positive cases has surged to 1,465,910. With 37 new deaths reported in the country tally of fatalities has jumped to 29,553.
The NCOC in its province-wise updates reported that Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The NCOC confirmed that the overall tally of deaths across the country has jumped to 29,553 out of which 13,267 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,906 in Sindh 6,065 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 990 in Islamabad, 764 in Azad Kashmir, 372 in Balochistan, and 189 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
With the overall toll of positive cases across the country has reached to 1,465,910 out of which 553,112 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 490,103 in Punjab 204,084 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 131,987 in Islamabad, 40,826 in Azad Kashmir 34,853 in Balochistan and 10,945 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 25,475,293 coronavirus tests and 52,327 in the last 24 hours. 1,349,189 patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,668 patients are in critical condition.
The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 5.34 per cent.
So far, 111,408,710 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 1,194,989 in last 24 hours. 87,052,879 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 852,298 received their second dose in last 24 hours.
The number of total administered doses has reached to 187,996,736 with 2,017,179 in the last 24 hours.
