ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus second wave is continue and after surging the toll of infections to half a million cases, on Monday the Virus claimed 32 more lives and 1,877 people were tested positive during last 24 hours.
National Instutitute of Health (NIH) has so far confirmed two positive patients of New Coronavirus Variant, the new version of COVID-19 Variant reported in Karachi among people coming from Britain.
During last 24 hours nationwide figure of the pandemic reported was 32 deaths and 1,877 people were tested positive to COVID-19.
1,877 new coronavirus epidemic infections were reported during last 24 hours and 32 new deaths have been confirmed. With 1,877 new infections reported in the country the toll surged to 504,293 cases and with 32 more deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 10,676 deaths on Monday.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 32 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 1,877 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 226,338 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far 226,338 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 145,508 in Punjab 61,424 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 39,242 in Islamabad, 18,412 in Balochistan, 8,489 in Azad Kashmir and 4,880 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 10,676 out of that 4,272 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,699 in Sindh, 1,740 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 441 in Islamabad, 235 in Azad Kashmir, 188 in Balochistan, and 101 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 7,122,538 coronavirus tests and 34,524 in the last 24 hours. 458,371 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,286 patients are in critical condition.
