ISLAMABAD: Federal Government will give a contributiom of Rs 4 for every rupee donated to the Ehsaas Emergency Cash program for labourers who have been laid off work, said Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday.
“Government will contribute Rs 4 to every rupee donated in COVID-19 Relief Fund”, the premier said on Twitter.
The prime minister said the relief fund has been fixed for the deserving people who have been laid off due to the lockdown.
“For every rupee donated, government will give 4 more. Ehsaas data and transparency rules apply fully,” he said.
The premier tweeted, “Yesterday I met recipients of Ehsaas Emergency Cash Category IV for labourers laid off work.Funded by Prime Minister’s COVID Relief Fund. For every rupee donated, govt will give 4 more. Ehsaas data & transparency rules apply fully.”
Let it be known that PM Imran Khan had formally launched Ehsaas Emergency Cash program for those rendered jobless due to Coronavirus. Over Rs3 billion have so far been collected in the Corona Relief Fund.
Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar briefed the Prime Minister. Donations to the relief fund as well as release of funds from it are being done in a transparent manner.
Imran Khan interacted with the affectees and listened to their problems and grievances and assured them to take every possible step in resolving their issues. Strict precautionary measures were observed on the occasion.
