The price of High-Speed Diesel is now Rs399.58 per litre from earlier Rs380.19, with an increase of 19.39 rupees.

In a statement, the division said there was no truth in reports suggesting the closure of petrol pumps, adding that the supply of petroleum products would continue without interruption.

It urged the public to avoid being misled by what it called negative propaganda aimed at creating panic.

It is pertinent to mention here that the government has been reviewing petroleum prices on a weekly basis following the now-paused US-Israel war on Iran, which began on February 28.

In the previous weekly review, the government had announced a Rs26.77 per litre hike in the price of petrol and the high-speed diesel each.
