Multiple IHC officials, including a judge, test positive for virus

ISLAMABAD: Multiple officials of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), including a judge, have tested positive for the coronavirus, confirmed judicial authorities on Thursday.

According to officials, Justice Lubna Saleem Pervez cause list has been cancelled for the upcoming week after she contracted the coronavirus. They added that the judge has quarantined herself at her home following the test results.

Officials said that three secretaries of the judges, including Justice Pervaz’s secretary, have already contracted the coronavirus. They added that the reader of IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah has also contracted the coronavirus. While Assistant Registrar Civil Branch Haji Shahid has also tested positive for the virus, Geo News reported.

The officials shared that 15 employees of the court, including court officials, have tested positive for the virus.
