ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid glowing tribute to the country’s police martyrs on Police Martyrs’ Day, describing them as the nation’s true heroes whose supreme sacrifices have safeguarded Pakistan’s peace, security, and stability.
In his message, the interior minister said that police officers and personnel who laid down their lives while maintaining law and order and combating crime occupy a place of enduring honor in the nation’s history. He said their sacrifices represent a shining chapter in Pakistan’s national story and will forever be remembered with gratitude and respect.
Naqvi praised the police force for its unwavering commitment to protecting citizens despite facing extraordinary challenges.
He noted that the force has demonstrated exceptional courage and bravery in the fight against terrorism and crime, making invaluable contributions to the restoration and preservation of peace across the country.
Emphasizing the significance of their service, the minister said the sacrifices of police martyrs remain a guarantee of the nation’s peace and stability. He added that the entire nation salutes its brave police officers and personnel, whose dedication continues to inspire future generations.
Expressing solidarity with the families of the fallen, Naqvi reaffirmed the government’s respect and support for those who have endured the loss of their loved ones in the line of duty, saying their resilience and sacrifice are shared by the entire nation.
