First lady expresses concern over Hina Javed murder, calls for justice

ISLAMABAD: First Lady Bibi Asifa Bhutto Zardari, MNA, Sunday, expressed deep concern and sorrow over the reported brutal murder of Hina Javed in Rawalpindi, and conveyed her solidarity and condolences to the bereaved family, APP reported.

“She called upon the Government of Punjab to ensure a thorough inquiry and proper investigation into the heinous crime and said that those responsible must be brought to justice and made an example of so that no one dares to repeat such an act,” President Secretariat Media Wing said in a press release.

The first lady expressed concern over the rise in such incidents in Pakistan and hoped that effective measures would be taken to protect women and prevent such crimes in the future.
