Nasir Lauds PSL Role In Talent Hunt, Assures Support For Cricket

KARACHI: Sindh Provincial Minister for Energy, Planning and Development, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, has praised the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for playing a crucial role in identifying and grooming both national and international cricket talent.

He was talking to Rana Atif, CEO Lahore Qalandars, who visited Ali House with the PSL championship trophy.

During the meeting, which was also attended by Senator Aajiz Dhamrah and MPA Asif Musa, Shah emphasized the importance of structured talent hunting programs, crediting PSL and specifically the Lahore Qalandars franchise for their continued efforts in unearthing young cricketing talent, especially from Sindh.

Calling the visit an honor, Shah expressed his gratitude to Rana Atif for actively engaging in talent scouting initiatives across Sindh. He described such programs as not just sporting endeavors but significant contributions toward the country’s broader progress.

He acknowledged that identifying skilled players across the province and the country is a challenging task, yet one that serves the nation. Highlighting Sindh’s potential, Shah said the province is rich in young, talented athletes who can excel on national and international platforms if given opportunities based on merit.

The Minister also assured full support from the Sindh government, including the provision of necessary facilities, to assist Lahore Qalandars and similar initiatives in promoting cricket and developing the next generation of sports stars.
