NDMA dispatching necessary equipment to provinces, AJK, GB: Spokesman

ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) spokesman has said that to control the coronavirus spread, the authority is dispatching necessary equipment, including ventilators and other personal protection equipment to all the four provinces, Azad Jammu Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said that the authority is sending Bileve Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP) machines and Intensive Care Unit Ventilators each to all the four provinces.

The NDMA spokesperson said Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have received ICU ventilators and BiPAP machines.

He said ten BiPAP machines each have been reserved for Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while PPEs dispatched to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The NDMA spokesperson further stated that message has been conveyed to other federating units to receive their equipment.
