ISLAMAVAD: Coronavorus third wave claimed 135 new deaths, the number highest in last nine months period, besides Pakistan reported to 4,681 new cases during last 24 hours
Coronavirus pandemic is taking new spike across Pakistan as during last 24 hours country reported 135 deaths, while 4,681 more people were tested positive.
During last 24 hours 118 new deaths were reported besides 4,318 people were tested positive to virus. Government is looking for many options to curb the deadly virus.
On Wednesday morning the country has reported 135 new deaths by COVID-19 pandemic that took the toll of fatlities to and 15,754, while 4,681 more people were tested positive taking the tally to 734,423 round the Pakistan.
According to latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 135 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 4,681 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Punjab have been declared worst hit province during this month as positivity rate of the province was witnessed over 11 per cent in some parts. Sindh has reported 269,840 overall coronavirus epidemic infections remained the worst-hit province of the country in terms of cases followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far across the country 269,840 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 255,571 in Punjab, 101,045 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 67,491 in Islamabad, 20,499 in Balochistan, 14,837 in Azad Kashmir and 5,140 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 15,754 out of that 7,141 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,530 in Sindh, 2,732 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 619 in Islamabad, 410 in Azad Kashmir, 219 in Balochistan, and 103 in Gilgit Baltistan
Pakistan has so far conducted 10,829,994 coronavirus tests across the country and 50,520 in the last 24 hours. 638,267 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,198 patients are in critical condition.
