ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported the lowest ever 24 new deaths by coronavirus pandemic besides 1,487 new cases in last 24 hours.
With the 1,487 new coronavirus cases confirmed during last 24 hours the infections toll surged to 271,887 while with 24 new deaths confirmed the nation-wide tally of fatalities has jumped to 5,787.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has confirmed that 1,487 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours and 24 people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in the country.
According to figures released on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the NCOC at 10:00am on Saturday July 25, the toll of coronavirus positive cases reached to 271,887 and Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of infections with 116,800 cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
The figure shows that 116,800 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 91,691 in Punjab, 33,071 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11,550 in Balochistan, 14,821 in Islamabad 1,942 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 2,012 in Azad Kashmir.
As far the death toll in concerned the figures shows overall 5,787 deaths were reported in the country with 2,113 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 2,110 in Sindh, 1,170 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 136 in Balochistan, 162 in Islamabad, 47 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 49 in Azad Kashmir.
Pakistan has so far conducted 1,844,926 coronavirus tests and 23,630 in last 24 hours. 236,596 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,294 patients are in critical condition.
