ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO) has said that India has not shared complete details with Pakistan regarding floods through the established diplomatic mechanism.
FO spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, in a statement issued in Islamabad, said India only once informed Pakistan about floods via diplomatic channels. However, he noted this was not the agreed procedure between the two countries. While partial information was provided, Pakistan did not receive full details.
The spokesperson also accused India of involvement in terrorism inside Pakistan. He said, ‘We have shared evidence with the international community and friendly countries proving India’s role in fueling terrorism in Pakistan.’
Commenting on Afghanistan, the FO spokesperson urged Kabul to ensure its soil is not used against Pakistan. He added that Afghan citizens awaiting relocation to Germany should be evacuated urgently and that Germany must expedite the process.
He also condemned Israeli strikes in Khan Younis, saying Israel continues to violate human rights by targeting hospitals and journalists.
On Pakistan’s foreign engagements, the spokesperson described Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to China as highly successful. At the invitation of the Chinese President, the PM attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit and held meetings with several key leaders.
The FO said the Prime Minister also raised the Afghanistan issue during the SCO session and stressed the importance of bilateral dialogue with Kabul.
