ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has witnessed certain decline in the coronavirus epidemic cases and deaths as 40 deaths and 1.013 cases were reported in last 24 hours.
Though the government is taking full credit of decline in coronavirus cases but the experts are of the view that all what is happening is due to decline in the tests and authorities at the helm of affairs are nothing to do with it.
With the 1,013 confirmed during last 24 hours the infections toll surged to 266,096 while with 40 new deaths confirmed the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 5,639.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has confirmed that 1,013 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours and 40 deaths reported in the country.
According to figures released on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the NCOC at 10:00am on Tuesday July 21, the toll of coronavirus positive cases reached to 266,096 and Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of infections with 113,553 cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
The figure shows that 113,553 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 90,444 in Punjab, 32,243 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11,441 in Balochistan, 14,625 in Islamabad 1,868 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1,922 in Azad Kashmir.
As far the death toll in concerned the figures shows overall 5,639 deaths were reported in the country with 2,090 individuals have lost their lives to the
epidemic in Punjab, 2,019 in Sindh, 1,147 in KP, 133 in Balochistan, 160 in Islamabad, 43 in GB and 47 in Azad Kashmir.
Pakistan has so far conducted 1,758,551 coronavirus tests and 17,783 in last 24 hours. 208,030 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,481 patients are in critical condition.
