PM Shehbaz departs for two-day visit to Bahrain

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday departed for a two-day official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to hold high-level engagements with the country’s leadership. A statement said issued by Prime Minister’s Office.

According to the statement, during the visit, he will hold high-level meetings with Bahrain King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to further enhance bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, energy, technology, education and culture.

“This official visit signifies the longstanding cordial relations between the kingdom of Bahrain and Pakistan, with the aim of promoting a result-oriented and strategic partnership between the two countries,” the statement added.

“The visit will strengthen the traditionally warm and cordial relations, chart new avenues for partnership, and deepen people-to-people connections, which will contribute to mutually beneficial cooperation,” it said.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, federal ministers and senior officers accompanied the prime minister.
