Police arrests 548 people for violating lockdown

ISLAMABAD: Police have arrested 548 people and impounded hundred of vehicles in various parts of the country for violating lockdown orders of government.

Karachi police impounded more than 50 rickshaws for accommodating more than four passengers.

On the other hand, law enforcers in Lahore arrested 548 people for violating coronavirus emergency, impounded more than 400 rickshaws and imposed hefty fines on 32 suspects for selling masks and sanitizers at inflated prices.

92 people were arrested in Jhang for violating section 144 and several vehicles were impounded in Toba Tek Singh.
