ISLAMABAD: In the wake of worst Train-jacking episode in Bolan district of Balochistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will reach Quetta on a day-long visit today (Thursday) to express solidarity with the people, besides he along with top military and civilian leaders will assess the security situation arising after the terrorist attack on Jaffar Express.
The Prime Minister will preside over a high-level meeting to review the law and order situation.
Premeir Shehbaz Sharif will also be briefed on the terrorist attack on Jaffar Express, well place sources said, adding that key decisions will also be made in the meeting to deal with terrorists.
Earlier on Wednesday, the prime minister in a statement posted on the social media platform X expressed shock and sorrow over the Jaffar Express attack, which claimed lives of innocent passengers.
He stated that he had spoken to Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, who briefed him on the latest development regarding the attack.
“The entire nation is deeply shocked by this dastardly act and saddened by the loss of innocent lives,” he said. “I offer my heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and pray that Allah grants them the highest ranks in Jannah. I also wish a swift recovery to the injured.”
