LAHORE: The nomination papers for the Punjab chief minister elections will be submitted by 5 pm today (Sunday), while the scrutiny of nominations will be completed today.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the nominated candidate of Pakistan Muslim League and allied parties will submit their nomination papers. The document verification process will be completed once the nomination papers for Chief Minister (CM) will be submitted by 5 pm today.
PML-N will submit nomination papers of the Chief Minister candidate Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Rana Aftab Ahmed, the nominated candidate for the post of Chief Minister will submit nomination papers on behalf of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC).
Leaders of Sunni Ittehad Council will go to Punjab Assembly after 2 pm to submit nomination papers. The nomination papers will be submitted to the Secretary Punjab Assembly.
Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan has sworn in as the new Speaker of Punjab Assembly as he took the oath of office administered by outgoing Speaker Sabtain Khan.
