TUNISIA: Two suicide attacks in Tunisia’s capital, Tunis, on Thursday, killing one policeman, while eight others were injured.
According to Al-Jazeera, the first explosive attack happened at a police patrol on Tunis’ central Charles de Gaulle Street, close to the French Embassy.
Few moments later, another suicide bomber blew himself on a national guard base in al-Qarjani district, wounding four security personnel.
The Islamic State of Iraq took responsibility for the said suicide attacker, saying that the executors were their fighters.
Previously last year in October, a similar case of suicide bombing was reported in Tunisia, where a woman blew herself up, targeting a police van, wounding nine people during the process.
